Dr. Megan Ebel
President & Chief Optometrist
Megan Ebel, OD, is the co-founder and chief optometrist of Near & Far Vision Partners. She graduated cum laude from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2015 and began her career in primary eye care before specializing in refractive surgery. Dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care, Dr. Ebel is passionate about helping patients achieve their best possible vision outcomes.
Originally from the South, she moved to Seattle three years ago and has since embraced the Pacific Northwest lifestyle. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking with her dog, Birdie, and attending live theater performances.
Dr. Jack Tian
Medical and Facility Director
Dr. Jack Tian is a board certified ophthalmologist, renowned for his specialization in refractive lens exchange (RLE), premium cataract surgery, intraocular lens upgrades (IOLx) and the use of implantable collamer lenses (ICL). His undergraduate degree was in molecular biology from the University of California, Berkeley. He then earned his Medical Degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Tian completed his advanced ophthalmology surgical training at the Flaum Eye Institute at the University of Rochester, a leading center in optical science in the United States. Rochester is home to the Rochester Institute of Optics, Kodak, Bausch & Lomb and Xerox. During his training, he worked closely with Dr. Scott Macrae, a pioneer in refractive surgery and innovator.
Dr. Tian is dedicated not only to his clinical practice but also to advancing the field of ophthalmology. He plays an active role in developing innovative medical devices and refining surgical techniques, which significantly enhance patient care. His approach frequently incorporates cutting-edge technology to optimize outcomes for his patients. He is the first implanter of the Panoptix Pro multifocal lens in the pacific northwest.
Dr. Tian cherishes outdoor activities with his wife and 2 sons. They enjoy traveling, 3D printing, and tackling home renovation projects together. Dr. Tian is dedicated to teaching and is currently clinical assistant professor at the University of Washington, he trains ophthalmologists in the OR at Harborview Hospital. He was previously an assistant professor at Casey Eye Institute, OHSU.
Sarah Sharp
General Manager
Sarah is stellar in the operating room, she developed strong skills scrubbing and supporting surgical teams over the years. She asserts that no Eye OR is as NEW, as SAFE, as STERILE and as painstakingly ORGANIZED as ours. As General Manager, she combines her clinical background with leadership and organizational expertise to keep daily operations running smoothly and efficiently. Her top priority is making sure that our patients have an experience with us that they will brag about to their friends and family.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys staying active through fitness and outdoor adventures. She also spends much of her time cheering on her son at his sports games and making family time a priority. Her balance of professional dedication and personal passion brings both warmth and reliability to the team.
